Recently I commissioned my mother to paint a Texas scene for two co-workers that had recently bought houses. I wanted to give them something that helped root them in Texas and made their house a home.
This rendering of the Texas Hill Country with the familiar blue bonnets was the perfect gift for them.
On my mother's birthday today, December 10th, here's to making a house a home!
