My good friend, Denise gave me this recipe, and after years of making box mixes, she convinced me to make a scratch cake again. It was well worth it! Since Ellie loves to help, and benefit from the effort - it's easiest to make cupcakes! They're so much easier to share! Try it yourself and see!
Best Chocolate Cake Ever
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup oil
2 eggs
2 cups boiling water
Mix first 6 ingredients together. Add oil & eggs. Mix.
Add boiling water slowly and blend until well mixed.
Bake @ 350degrees
20-25 minutes
