Door to door the trip is under 4 1/2 hours .. which is a piece of cake since we're used 12-15 hour road trips! We left our house Saturday morning about 7:30am and arrived just after noon. Just in time for lunch, of course!
We snacked and chatted while Ellie entertained with lots of stories of school, soccer and friends. It was a relaxing afternoon as we prepared to go to dinner in downtown Houston.
One of my favorite spots that Aunt Di took me to last time I was in Houston (2000), was Ninfa's. It was only fitting that I shared it with Bill and Ellie on this trip. The margarita was a good as I remember and the food was even better. Guacamole, queso, shrimp tacos, beef tacos and sopapilla for dessert!~
It was amazing! And after dinner we rolled ourselves home and relaxed the rest of the evening!
